A nozzle comprises a lower nozzleplate including a lower impingement surfaceformed therein, at least one fluid intake port disposedat an inner end of the lower impingementsurface, and an upper nozzle plate including an upperimpingement surface formed therein and an upperorifice edge disposed along an outer end of theupper impingement surface. The nozzle includes aseal configured for sealing the lower nozzle plate tothe upper nozzle plate, such that the lower and upperimpingement surfaces are opposed toward oneanother, thereby forming a fluid channel betweenthe impingement surfaces, directing pressurizedfluid from the at least one fluid intake port to aslotted orifice formed between the opposed lowerand upper orifice edges. The nozzle includes adroplet size adjustment mechanism configured forattachment to the upper and lower nozzle plates forselectively controlling fluid droplet size ejectedfrom the slotted orifice.
