PURPOSE: A velocity controlling system to be installed on the bow of a ship is provided to reduce the veering or stopping distance of the ship since control arms for using the hull of a bow as a wing are installed on both sides of the bow and the length of the control arm and the angle of the wing are controlled.;CONSTITUTION: A velocity controlling system comprises control arms(11,12). The control arms are installed on both sides of the bow of the ship and use the hull of the bow as wings(6,7). The length of the control arm and the angle of the wing are controlled to reduce the veering or stopping distance of the ship. If the angle of the wing is controlled to be the same to a veering angle, the velocity of the ship increases. The veering distance of the ship is controlled according to the angle of the wing.
