COUPLING STRUCTURE FOR AN AIR-CONDITIONER HOSE TO PREVENT A LEAKAGE IN SPITE OF VARIOUS TYPES OF HOSES

PURPOSE: A coupling structure for an air-conditioner hose is provided to improve the fastening force between a fixing hose and an air-conditioner connection pipe because a ferrule simultaneously compresses the fixing hose and the air-conditioner connection pipe.;CONSTITUTION: A coupling structure for an air-conditioner hose comprises O-rings(20), D-rings(30), a fixing hose(40), and a ferrule(50). The O-rings and the D-rings are inserted in a plurality of ring grooves(12) of a connection pipe(10) in order to secure the airtight seal of coolant. The fixing hose is fitted to the outer peripheral part of the connection pipe so that the inner periphery of the fixing hose is pressed on the O-rings and the D-rings. The ferrule is compressed by the fixing hose so that compression projections(52) are formed in the positions of the O-rings and the D-rings. An annular locking groove(14) is formed on the outer periphery of an air-conditioner connection pipe where the leading end of the ferrule is located, and an annular locking protrusion(54) is formed by bending the leading end of the ferrule to be coupled to the annular groove.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
