AZIPOD ASSEMBLY AND SHIP INCLUDING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An azipod assembly and a ship therewith are provided to reduce ship drying and maintenance costs and to prevent environmental contamination using a closed type ballast tank. CONSTITUTION: An azipod assembly(50) comprises an azipod(60) and a lifting operation unit(70). The lifting operation unit lifts the azipod to a hull(10). The lifting operation unit comprises a cylinder unit, a piston unit, and a working fluid supply unit. The cylinder unit is installed in the hull. One side of the piston unit is inserted into the cylinder unit, and the other end is coupled to the azipod. The working fluid supply unit supplies working fluid to the inside the cylinder unit so that the piston unit can be slid to the cylinder unit.
