PURPOSE: Integrated light sensor and method for measuring the sugar content of fruits are provided to enable a measuring device to be small and light since the device is integrated as single element.;CONSTITUTION: An integrated light sensor for measuring the sugar content of fruits comprises a bundle of optical fiber(15), a load cell(14), an LED chip(12), a photodiode chip(13) and a substrate(11). The optical fiber bundle is installed on the upper ends of the LED and the photodiode and makes direct contact with the surface of fruits. The load cell blocks the scattering and interference of light from the LED and the photodiode and prevents moisture from permeating. The LED chip emits light with wavelength capable of permeating fruits. The photodiode chip senses light reflected from the fruits. The substrate is an epoxy substrate.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
