1. A method for esterification of the reaction medium, comprising the steps of:! (a) subjecting the esterification reaction medium to a vertically elongated esterification reactor, said esterification reactor forming one vessel having a fluid inlet and at least two separate outlets containing a liquid outlet through which the reaction medium is discharged the specified reactor for esterification, and the exit for steam through which the vaporous by-product of esterification is discharged from the reactor for esterification, and the specified exit for steam is located on the same tank for pain higher than the specified outlet for the liquid, and wherein said esterification reactor provides heat to the reaction medium within itself; and! (b) said reaction medium in said esterification reactor is not mechanically stirred, or if mechanically mixed, less than about 50% of said stirring of the reaction medium is provided by mechanical stirring. ! 2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the reaction medium entering the fluid inlet has an initial conversion of at least about 70%. ! 3. The method of claim 2, wherein the reaction medium discharged through the liquid outlet has a final conversion of at least about 80%. ! 4. The method according to claim 3, in which the specified initial conversion is at least about 75% and the specified final conversion is at least about 85%. ! 5. The method according to claim 1, wherein said esterification reactor has a height to diameter ratio ranging from about 1.15: 1 to about 10: 1. ! 6.
