The robot (1) has a robot drive (6) and a robot head (40) interconnected via a spacer rod (60) and wire ropes (31-36). The drive rotates the head using the rod and the ropes. The head includes attachment and actuator groups (70, 80). The attachment group is connected with the ropes and the spacer rod and coupled with the actuator group using a transmission gear i.e. planetary gear. The transmission gear implements a rotation of the attachment group into a rotation of the actuator group according to a predetermined ratio. The actuator group is arranged on an actuator i.e. gripper.
