PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and efficiently reinforce a hollow columnar object such as a concrete or steel electric pole by putting reinforcing bars on the inner side of the hollow columnar object.;SOLUTION: A reinforcing bar expansion device for a hollow columnar object includes: a guide rod 24 positioned at an expansion center of reinforcing bars 22; an upper retainer 34 slidably fitted to the guide rod 24 and positioned at the top; an upper expansion link mechanism provided with a freely turnably connected long link member 31; a lower retainer 44 positioned at the bottom; a lower expansion link mechanism provided with a long link member 42 whose one end is freely turnably connected to the lower end of each reinforcing bar 22 and other end is freely turnably connected to the lower retainer 44; and a slide shaft 30 slidably fitted to the guide rod 24 connecting the upper expansion link mechanism and the lower expansion link mechanism.
