PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a press-formed article of a metal sheet for separating a formed article and scrap parts without lowering production efficiency and without generating chips.SOLUTION: In the shearing and trimming work of the press-formed article of the metal sheet, the method includes: a first step where trimming lines 8 for separating the metal sheet 5 into the formed article 6 and the scrap parts 7 are cut completely by a primary shearing and a plurality of scrap cutting lines 9 for dividing the scrap parts 7 into pieces are cut by leaving remaining parts 9A on the sides of the trimming lines 8; and further a second step where the division into pieces of the scrap parts 7 is completed by rupturing the remaining parts 9A.
