PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reproduction technology capable of minimizing temporal accumulation of compression strain generated during decoding at low cost while saving power.;SOLUTION: The image reproduction device decodes a moving image stream subjected to inter-screen prediction encoding while accessing a reference image memory 5. A decoding unit configured of a variable length decoding unit 3, or the like, performs variable length decoding of the moving image stream in units of picture and outputs encoded parameters. A traffic analysis unit 6 estimates the traffic for the reference image memory 5 based on the output encoded parameters.
