PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature measurement device capable of simply and precisely measuring the temperature distribution in a plate width direction of a hot rolled plate while utilizing the conventional scanning radiation thermometers.;SOLUTION: From the plate width directional temperature distribution data measured by two scanning radiation thermometers 2, 2 which are scanning mutually reverse direction, the inflection point information (position of inflection point and inflection point temperature gradient) are calculated. Meanwhile, the end positions in the plate width direction are estimated based on the distribution of temperature dispersion in the plate width direction at the temperature falling edge obtained for every temperature distribution data in the plate width direction where the temperature gradients of inflection points are approximately equal by using the many temperature distribution data in the plate width direction measured in the past, and the relation between the inflection point information and the position of the plate width end parts are obtained and recorded. By using the calculated inflection point information and the relation, the positions of the plate width direction ends are determined. BY compositing the two temperature distribution data in the plate width direction by which the positions of the plate width ends are determined, one temperature distribution data in the plate width direction is created.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
