PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel plate positioning device which can quickly and accurately position a steel plate in safety without requiring hands of an operator, and a cutting method for a steel plate using the steel plate positioning device.;SOLUTION: The steel plate positioning device for mounting the steel plate at a designated location on a holder includes two or more of support columns vertically erected at a side of the holder, a cylindrical or square cylindrical stopper fitted to the support columns, wherein a size of an internal space is larger than the cross section of the support column, and a fixing device for pushing the stopper to the support column from an anti-holder side of the support column and generating a space where the stopper is can moving in an anti-holder direction against the support column at a holder side of the internal space of the stopper.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
