PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable polymer which has biocompatibility, sufficient dynamic strength, and a cell-proliferating property in a gel, and exhibits temperature-responding sol-gel transformation, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide a medical treatment material using the biodegradable polymer.;SOLUTION: This temperature-responding biodegradable polymer is characterized by introducing mesogenic groups to a copolymer comprising a hydrophilic polyether and a hydrophobic polyester through covalent bonds. Concretely, the polymer is obtained by introducing cholesterol derivative-containing mesogenic groups to a polyether prepared by condensing polyglycerol with a polyalkylene glycol and a polyester which is a hydroxylic acid polymer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
