PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for more efficiently carrying out a synthetic reaction by using an enzyme presented on the cell surface layer and to find out the field of the synthetic reaction for making the utilization of the enzyme advantageous.;SOLUTION: A method for producing an optically active substance comprises a step of bringing a recombinant cell presenting the enzyme on the cell surface layer into contact with a racemate to be a substrate for the enzyme in a reaction liquid and forming an optically active enzymic reaction product.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
