PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Pareto new region retrieval technology for retrieving a new Pareto region while suppressing useless calculation.;SOLUTION: This Pareto new region retrieval device is provided with a classification means for, when there is a system having the response of a plurality of characteristic values corresponding to a plurality of restriction elements, generating a plurality of sampling as the combination of the restriction elements of this system and the characteristics, and for classifying the sampling on the basis of the similarity of the characteristic values, and for forming a plurality of clusters; an initial Pareto face preparation means for extracting the clusters achieving set system optimization among the clusters as an initial Pareto face; and a retrieval means for preparing the restriction element model having a predetermined Euclidean distance by using the restriction element of sampling which comes into the closest contact with the center of gravity of the cluster of the initial Pareto face as a reference, and for generating the combination of the restriction elements of the restriction element model and the respective characteristics obtained by the restriction element model as new sampling, and for retrieving a new Pareto face.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
