PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-point detecting type respiration monitoring device, monitoring the partial movement caused by lung respiration and the movement of the abdomen region caused by abdominal respiration by installing detecting means for detecting the moving amount in two or more parts of the trunk part causing the physical movement due to the respiration activity of the subject to thereby monitor the compound displacement amount of the trunk part of the subject due to respiration with high accuracy. PSOLUTION: This multi-point detecting type respiration monitoring device includes: a housing mounted on a bed where the subject lies to cover the trunk part of the subject such as the chest and the abdomen region; a displacement amount detecting means for detecting the displacement amount of at least two points of the chest and the abdomen of the subject trunk part; and a determination means for determining the compound displacement amount obtained by integrating the detected displacement amounts of the chest and the abdomen region caused by respiration.
