A kneading rotor wherein the length (L4) of a long blade in the rotational direction of each rotor is greater than 1/2 the length of the overall length (L5) of the rotor body in the rotational direction, the long blades are arranged in such a manner that, when the pair of rotors are arranged parallel to each other within the chamber of a closed kneader and rotated in the directions opposite to each other, the end of the long blade of one of the rotors on the rear side thereof in the rotational direction thereof and the end of the long blade of the other rotor on the front side thereof in the rotational direction thereof repeatedly come close to and separate from each other in an alternating manner, and in a state in which the ends are close to each other, in a cross-section of the rotors which is perpendicular to the axial direction thereof, the end on the rear side and the end on the front side face each other in the rotational direction of the rotors across the line connecting the axes of the pair of rotors.
