The invention relates to a method for implementing nationally the electronic file of a patient. The method consists in creating a national data base as central components: a national reference register and a national archetypes register, to be interconnected with the medical units data bases, the communication between them being achieved by using web services, a data base of nationally accessible demographic and medical data of patients being created thereby.
