The invention relates to a strain of Serratia plymuthica Ps33 having a deposit number NCAIM (P) B0011366 intended to be used as a bioinoculant for the protection of agricultural crops and for the biofortification of the grain cereal crops in regions of selenium deficit. The strain of Serratia plymuthica Ps33 has an action of protecting the crops against phytopatogenic fungi in the soil and an antagonist action against the bacteria which affect fruit trees upon blossoming, stimulates growth of wheat plants by producing volatile compounds, it promotes phosphorus solubilization, biodisponibilization of selenium and accumulation thereof into the grains, exhibits high mobility and forms biofilms which colonize the surfaces of the plant organs while resisting to adverse environment factors.
