MOUNTING BRACKET AND METHOD OF FABRICATION THEREOF

A mounting bracket, made in a single sheet of material, thesheet of material being deformed into a generally U-shaped cross-sectionbracket having lateral faces and a joining face interconnecting the lateralfaces;the lateral faces flaring outwardly to angularly correspond to elements of theceiling; the lateral faces being provided with means for securing the lateralfaces to the elements of the ceiling. In a first embodiment, the joining facecomprises an aperture, at least one downward slot and at least one upward sloton each side of the aperture, for hingedly securing a hook. In a secondembodiment, the single sheet of material has a decreasing width from a firstattachment region to a mid height region thereof, and an increasing width fromthe mid height region to a second attachment region thereof, the mid heightregion corresponding to the joining face of the bracket once the sheet ofmaterial is folded, the first and second attachment regions corresponding toextremity regions of the lateral faces of the bracket, the first and secondattachment regions allowing the bracket to be mounted on the elements of theceiling.
