In the case of a spring-damper unit for adjusting the height of a vehicle, the unit comprising a vibration damper (2), a supporting spring (7) for the spring suspension of the vehicle, an upper spring plate (8) on which the supporting spring (7) is supported, an adjusting device (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15) for adjusting the height of the upper spring plate (8) with an actuator (10, 11) and an adjusting mechanism (12, 13, 14, 15), wherein the adjusting mechanism (12, 13, 14, 15) is preferably designed for converting the rotational movement produced by the actuator (10, 11) into a translational movement of the upper spring plate (8), and an axial bearing for the mounting of the spring-damper unit (1), in particular the upper spring plate (8) and/or a piston rod (3), on the vehicle bodywork, the intention is for optimum utilization of the construction space to be possible despite the multiplicity of functional elements. This problem is solved in that the adjusting mechanism (12, 13, 14, 15) additionally, in particular exclusively, forms the axial bearing (12, 13, 14, 15).
