A method and apparatus for detecting Pseudo-noise (PN) sequence confusion are provided, and the method includes: acquiring the switch data of the users between cells in the network; generating a switch relationship set between the cells in the network using the switch data; in the switch relationship set, generating the confusion set according to the dropped call rate of the switch relationship; in the confusion set, detecting whether the PN sequence confusion exists in the target cell according to the bridge cell which is used during the course of the source cell adding the target cell into the active set according to the switch relationship. With the present invention, the veracity of the PN confusion determination is enhanced.
