An image capturing device is provided with: motion detection circuits (104R and 104L) for performing motion detection using image processing results of two image capturing systems (100R and 100L); region setting circuits (106R and 106L) for setting an object region from motion information by the motion detection circuits (104R and 104L) and known feature information; a disparity calculation circuit (105) for calculating disparity regarding each object region set by the region setting circuits (106R and 106L); a disparity adjustment circuit for adjusting the disparity of each object region set by the region setting circuits (106R and 106L), on the basis of the motion information obtained by the motion detection circuits (104R and 104L) and the disparity information by the disparity calculation circuit (105): and thus, disparity can be adjusted with respect to each object. Accordingly, it becomes possible to capture a stereoscopic image which can reduce a feeling of fatigue when the image is viewed.
