The invention relates to a medical implant comprising a wall (10) that is curved at least in some sections in the implanted state and that comprises a grid structure (11) having grid cells (14), wherein the grid cells (14) can be deformed in the longitudinal direction of the implant in such a way that the grid structure (11) is flexible for adjusting to a vessel. The invention is characterized in that the grid structure (11) comprises folding means (12) that are adjusted in such a way that the grid structure (11) can be brought from an expanded state I to a compressed folded state II for introduction into a feed system, radially inwardly protruding folded sections (13) being formed in the process.
