PURPOSE: A waterproof electrical connector and a method for assembling waterproof electrical connector are provided to cover the outside part of the hot melt member bonding part about a main housing and a cover housing. CONSTITUTION: A contact(15) includes a contact portion(51) and a wire connection portion(52). The contact is accepted to a contact accommodating portion. The electric wire connecting portion is connected to one end of the wire. A hot melt member(60) covers the border part of a main housing(12) and a cover housing(14). An outer circumference wall is located at the outer circumference side of the border portion of the main housing and the cover housing. The hot melt member is formed at the inner circumference side of the outer circumference wall.
