PURPOSE: A device and a method for removing scale from exit side feed rolls of a heating furnace are provided to prevent surface defects of thick-plate products caused by scale adhesion by spraying dry ice at high pressure to feed rolls at the exit of a heating furnace.;CONSTITUTION: A device for removing scale from exit side feed rolls of a heating furnace comprises a dry ice spray nozzle unit(110), a dry ice storage unit(130), and an air compressing unit(140). The dry ice spray nozzle unit is arranged under feed rolls at the exit of a heating furnace and sprays dry ice particles to the feed rolls in order to peel off scales from the feed rolls. The dry ice storage unit is charged with dry ice particles for storage. The air compressing unit provides compressed air to be mixed with dry ice particles.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
