PURPOSE: An emotion showing method of a robot is provided to be able to show emotion since sensing signals on external force applied to the robot are analyzed in a time-series manner so it is determined whether the external force is a negative input. CONSTITUTION: An emotion showing method of a robot is as follows. If external force is applied to the robot, the external force is obtained as sensing signals through the embedded sensor of the robot in a time-series manner. The sensing signal is analyzed, and it is determined whether the external force is negative input. If yes, the sensing signal is transferred to an emotion coping engine. For the robot to behave according to a pre-stored behavior pattern, the emotion coping engine controls the robot based on the sensing signal.
