PURPOSE: A system and a method for preventing a crime at a parking lot using sound recognition are provided to enhance security by recognizing the voice of a person and displaying a real-time monitored image. CONSTITUTION: A system for preventing a crime at a parking lot using sound recognition comprises multiple cameras(110), an image processing unit(120), multiple sound recognition units(130), a control unit(140), and a display unit(150). The cameras photograph the inner space of a parking lot. The image processing unit converts the photographed images into digital image signals and outputs the converted digital image signals. The sound recognition units are connected to the cameras and recognize sound. When the volume of the sound signals recognized from the sound recognition units is more than a pre-set reference value, the control unit displays the image signals through the display unit.
