PURPOSE: A fermented and pickled freshwater snail using medical herbs is provided to secure active ingredients of the freshwater snail, and to enable users to easily store the freshwater snail. CONSTITUTION: A fermented and pickled freshwater snail using medical herbs is obtained by the following steps: washing the freshwater snail; rubbing the washed freshwater snail with a mixture including 90-100g of fermented soybean paste, 300-400g of refined rice wine, 100-200g of flour, and 200-300g of freshwater; mixing the freshwater snail without the bad smell with a medical herb mixture, and drying the mixture at 50-70 deg C for 1-12 hours; mixing the dried freshwater snail with pickling seasonings; and aging the mixture. The medical herb mixture includes angelica gigas powder, astragalus membranaceus powder, glycyrrhizae radix powder, jujube powder, cnidium officinale powder, lycium chinense powder, red pepper seed powder, eleutherococcus senticosus powder, cinnamon powder, bay leaf powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and spring onion powder.
