The invention relates to the field of contact bonding split electrode and can be used in the manufacture of photovoltaic panels in installations for welding silver contacts to substrates photoconverter (OP) with gold coating. The apparatus includes a split electrode, pressing mechanism spot welding electrode, forming a source of welding current pulses with a digital control system, voltage, output power and a function of checking the transition resistance. Pressing mechanism, e.g., a stepping motor, is adapted to control the load cell force established in the zone of its contact with the electrode.
