FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to physico-chemical processes for processing inorganic materials. Powdered detonation nanodiamonds are treated with haloid acid at temperature 50-130°C for 1-10 hours with simultaneous exposure to ultrasound. The treated powder is washed in deionised water, dried and annealed in air at temperature 400-450°C for 1-6 hours. After ultrasonic exposure, the suspension of detonation nanodiamonds is centrifuged at acceleration of not less than 12000 g for 0.5-1.0 hours.;EFFECT: invention enables to obtain an impurity-free, stable monodispersed aqueous suspension of detonation nanodiamonds with particle size of 3,9-5,6 nm.;2 dwg, 15 ex
