The device (100) has a flywheel energy storage (150) i.e. direct current (DC)-capacitor, provided with an electromotor (160). A direct current intermediate circuit (110) is electrically coupled over an interface (170) with the energy storage. A processor (185) reads signal over information to necessary power for a propulsion (140) over a communication link (198) of the propulsion or a control unit (190). The processor reads the received information with rotation speed of the energy storage. The processor measures or reads a value of voltage of the intermediate circuit. Independent claims are also included for the followings: (1) a method for controlling smart net capacity by kinetic energy storage (2) a computer program including a set of instructions to perform a method for controlling smart net capacity.
