The method involves positioning instrument panels (VL, VR, HL, HR) at a plane of measurement (4), and receiving images of the instrument panels with camera systems (KV1, KH1, KV2, KH2). Measuring sensors (MW1, MW2) are exchanged, and spatial positions of the instrument panels in the captured images are determined. Correction values for the measuring sensors are computed from a difference of the spatial positions of the panels, where the correction values for the measuring sensors are set to given values.
