The element (1) has carriers made of plastic, and an absorber (3) for sound attenuation and secured on the carriers. The carriers are designed as rims (4) for rotating the absorber. The absorber and the carriers are integrally and/or positively connected with one another, where the carriers have stiffener bars (5) and three-dimensional shape. The three-dimensional shape of the carriers is exactly transferred to the absorber by three-dimensional alignment or design of the stiffener bars and the rims. An independent claim is also included for an injection molding process for producing a lining.
