Information gathered from a literature search - notably the work of 3- 7 Ward, Coring, et al - relative to hearing loss vs. noise exposure is reviewed. The results of such studies are applied to the specific problem of determining criteria applicable to the hearing damage risk problem aboard aircraft carriers.
