The method involves applying a metal-containing paste e.g. silver-containing paste, on a surface of a solar cell (100) by extrusion printing process i.e. co-extrusion printing process. The extrusion printing process is controlled such that the metal-containing paste is applied on the surface of the solar cell with varying cross-section. The metal-containing paste is heated such that a contact metallization structure (104) is formed. Metal is formed on an emitter-side surface of the solar cell. A conductor bus bar (106) is provided with multiple current bus bars.
