The circuit has a logic unit (14) connected with a controlling unit (11) for transmission of a pulse width pattern and control signals. The logic unit includes a drive line (15) with a semiconductor switch (16), and is arranged in such a manner that the logic unit outputs two pulse width patterns. One of the pulse width patterns is provided with modulation degree same as modulation degree of another pulse width pattern and provided with a pulse distance that differs from pulse distance of the former pulse width pattern depending on the control signals. An independent claim is also included for a method for actuating a semiconductor switch.
