The method involves placing a membrane (3) i.e. full-course membrane, to form a sealed pocket after unfolding on a surface forming a bottom of a tank. An interior (4) and an exterior of the membrane are simultaneously filled with a granular solid load i.e. sand, by unfolding sides of the pocket gradually to realize sides of the tank. The exterior comprises an external sand layer (5). A top part of the membrane is partially closed by a roof (14) so as to form a tilted plane and a vent and/or a chimney (8) allowing entry of water (9) and allowing exit or entry of air. The membrane is made of a material selected from composite materials, polymer, metals, metal alloys, and sealed or semisynthetic natural products associating a natural product and a synthetic product. The solid load includes aggregates selected from glass beads, and volcanic or porous gravels such as purnice gravel, blast-furnace slag, quartz gravel. An independent claim is also included for a tank.
