PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mirror finishing method on a film-like workpiece by flycutting.SOLUTION: A mirror finishing method on a film-like workpiece by flycutting includes: a step of mounting a flycutting jig, on which a flycutting tool is mounted, on a rotary main spindle; and a step of controlling the rotation of the rotary main spindle and a relative position of the film-like workpiece to the rotary main spindle. In the mirror finishing method on a film-like workpiece by flycutting, in order that the flycutting tool forms a mirror surface on a side edge surface of the film-like workpiece, the relative position of the film-like workpiece to the rotary main spindle is moved in parallel with the mirror surface.
