PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die which can make the thickness of an outer peripheral skin thin sufficiently and can suppress sufficiently occurrence of a defect of the outer peripheral skin when a honeycomb structure is molded.SOLUTION: The die 20 is provided for extruding the honeycomb structure which has a cell structure having many through holes arranged almost in parallel and also in a square viewed from the end side and of which the lateral side is covered by the outer peripheral skin. An opening 24a of a spacer 24 fitted to the die 20 is demarcated by a circular arc 24b of a radius r1 longer than the inside diameter of a covering 22 and by opening extension portions 24c provided respectively at positions of 0°, 90°, 180° and 270° of a central angle.
