PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel speed sensing device using an in-wheel motor of a vehicle that is configured to use a resolver of the in-wheel motor for an environmentally-friendly vehicle instead of a wheel speed sensor, and to provide a control method thereof.SOLUTION: The wheel speed sensing device using the in-wheel motor includes: a resolver of a drive motor joined to an axle and mounted in a wheel; an inverter that receives an input of motor speed information sensed by the resolver to convert it to wheel speed information; and a control unit that receives an input of the wheel speed information output from the inverter to control parts operating on the basis of the wheel speed information.
