PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a glass substrate with an organic thin film from which foreign matter and dirt can easily be removed even when they adhere to the surface thereof, and to provide a glass substrate with an organic thin film.;SOLUTION: The method includes a covering step of forming a thin film of an organic material on a surface of a glass substrate GS.
