PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to perform an audit of a control plane path without increasing a processing load of a NMS even when the number of hops of the control plane path is large.;SOLUTION: A communication system includes: communication devices capable of autonomous distribution control; and a network management system for managing control plane paths set to the communication devices. The network management system transmits an audit request message including information on an audit target control plane path designated by a network maintenance person to a communication device on the starting point side of the audit target control plane path.
