PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head maintenance device that prevents an inkjet head with the use of various kinds of ink materials from being damaged when performing cleaning, thereby enabling the use for a long time.;SOLUTION: The head maintenance device performs cleaning of a nozzle face 2 of the inkjet head. The head maintenance device includes: a band like cleaning cloth 3; a cleaning cloth roller shaft 13 around which the cleaning cloth 3 is wound in a roll; and a winding shaft 8 constituted to wind the cleaning cloth 3. The cleaning cloth 3 can absorb and remove ink droplets in such a manner that the cleaning cloth 3 is brought into contact with the ink droplets adhering to the nozzle face 2 while forming a gap to the nozzle face 2 at a portion between the cleaning cloth roller shaft 13 and the winding shaft 8.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
