PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyethylene resin material or a raw material for manufacturing a foamable laminate capable of giving a foamed cell having a sufficient height by gas such as water vapor, volatile gas and the like discharged by heat from a base material composed of paper as a major component, and to provide a foamable laminate, foamable converted paper and a heat insulating vessel such as a cup or the like.;SOLUTION: The polyethylene-based resin material X for the foamable laminate has the base material I composed of paper as the major component, and the polyethylene-based resin layer II which is arranged on one surface of the base material I composed of paper as the major component and is foamed by the gas discharged by heat from the base material. The polyethylene-based resin material X is obtained by compounding more than 50 wt.% to not more than 90 wt.% of ethylene-α-olefin copolymer (A) having the following characteristics (a1) and (a2), and not less than 10 wt.% to less than 50 wt.% of high pressure radically polymerized polyethylene resin (B) wherein (a1): a melt flow rate (MFR) is 1 to 50 g/10 min, and (a2): a density at 23°C is 0.880 to 0.935 g/cm3. The polyethylene-based resin material X has the following characteristics (x1) to (x5) wherein (x1): MFR is 1 to 30 g/10 min, (x2): a density at 23°C is not less than 0.880 g/cm3, (x3): an amount of eluted components in the temperature range of not lower than 80°C by CFC (cross fractionation chromatography) is not more than 10 wt.%, (x4): the maximum peak temperature of the elution temperatures by the CFC is not higher than 70°C, and (x5): MFR and a memory effect (ME) satisfy the equation (1)-0.467×Ln(MFR)+2.75≤ME (Ln is a natural logarithm).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
