PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle behavior control device and a method for performing yawing moment control to easily predict a response of a yaw rate to steering during slow braking.;SOLUTION: When a control gain setting means sets a control gain for determining a control amount in the yawing moment control based on the vehicle longitudinal acceleration of a vehicle, the control gain is set to be small when the longitudinal acceleration is almost zero (non-braking time) in a region (slow braking time: low G region) where the longitudinal acceleration is smaller than a prescribed value. As a result, the response of the yaw rate to the steering during the slow braking becomes substantially the same as those during the non-braking time and in a high G region, and thereby the yawing moment control to easily predict the response of the yaw rate when an avoiding operation is performed is made possible.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
