An electronic device includes a circuit substrate, an antenna, an electronic component or a terminal, and a shield pattern. The antenna includes: a core having a length direction; and a coil part including a conducting wire wound around the core, and is disposed on a first side of the substrate in such away that the length direction is nearly parallel to the first side. The electronic component or the terminal is disposed on a second side of the substrate in such a way as to correspond to the antenna. The shield pattern is disposed on and/or in the substrate between the antenna and the electronic component or the terminal. The length of a part of the shield pattern, the part overlapping with the antenna, is shorter than the length of the coil part.
