The embodiments of the present invention provide a pixel prediction method, which comprises: if a current block is a rectangle, and encoded or decoded neighboring blocks of the current block are all usable, acquiring an average pixel value of reference pixel points at a long side of the current block, the reference pixel points all being located at the boundaries of the neighboring blocks near the current block; and according to the average pixel value of the reference pixel points at the long side, acquiring a predicted pixel value of the current block. The pixel prediction method and device provided by the embodiments of the present invention acquire predicted pixels from corresponding neighboring blocks according to the shape of the current block, meeting a pixel distribution rule.
