The static fall protection (1) has rack (2) attached to mast along vertical direction and provided with upper and lower locking teeth (6) along longitudinal direction. The recesses (9) are formed between adjacent teeth. A latching mechanism (3) is movable in opposition to rack and recesses, and is comprised of latch (10) and holder (4) for attachment on lifting platform. The latch is moved between latching and unlatching positions by guide elements (23,24) of actuating device (20), such that the latch engages with recesses in latching position.
