An artificial foot device, comprising: a talus body; a core pivotably coupled with the talus body at a first joint; and a biasing assembly (290) acting between the talus and the core at the first joint; wherein the talus body pivots about the first joint and causes the biasing assembly to provide a torque response for the artificial foot device; the first joint comprises a lateral axle (124a) extending from the talus body; pivot bearings are coupled to the lateral axle; and the talus body pivots about the pivot bearings and the pivot bearings slide along the core.
